About the Author
Tommy Jewell has been a professional disc jockey and
trainer for nearly 30 years throughout the Midwest.
This is his full time job and therefore he takes it
very seriously. Tommy has performed D.J. shows at
major colleges, universities, high schools, middle
schools, and elementary schools. Last year, while
training his sons to be school D.J.'s, he was booked
over 200 times, making him one of the most active
D.J.'s in the school market. Tommy has personally
helped organize and has played for over 2,000
school dances.
He also is the president of Sound and Light Incorporated, a
disc jockey booking agency. Sound and Light was started in
the dorms at the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1977
and grew quickly . Today, Sound and Light represents over
100 interactive school D.J.'s that all report what happens at
each dance to Tommy. It would be difficult to find anybody
who has more knowledge on school dances than Tommy
Jewell.
